Suruchi Sangha Puja Pandal bring homes magic of bihu !

Assam was the theme of Suruchi Sangha club at New Alipore, Kolkata for this year’s Puja. The three main streams of the Hindu religion – Shaiva, Shakta and Vaishnava have been synthesized and presented in a unique style through the Puja Pandal. Outside the Pandal, their was display of the life and culture of various tribes of Assam like Mising, Deuri, Rabha, Mech, Hajong, Dimasa, Reming etc. The idol, the Mandap, lights, atmosphere, colourful dresses – everything had flavor of Assam. To cater to the taste buds of the visitors, “Assamiya food” was also available. As per web site of the club, SURUCHI SANGHA which was established in 1952, is a sports, social welfare and & culture based club of New Alipore, having its own playground. “Suruchi Sangha” has been organizing Durga Puja/Sarodotsav during the last 54 years and especially from 2003 onwards in a befitting and gorgeous manner at the 2nd five points crossing of Kolkata which is one of the best residential areas of the city where a large number of cosmopolitan people belonging to all communities/states reside with complete peace and harmony irrespective of their faith and belief.
