A heat wave has hit Kolkata and one can see no respite, frequent power cuts by CESC are adding to agony of people. Sales and prices of dhab, sugar cane juices are on rise. Not to left behind are cold drinks and off course our own nimbu pani ! Mercury is at 41 degree probably Kolkata's hottest April in last ten years. Weather officials predict that the weather would continue to warm for at least next two days in West Bengal. Weather official while speaking to ANI said that "No respite will be there for the next 48 hours for West Bengal and the main reason for this discomfort or high temperature is due to the lack of sufficient moisture in the atmosphere. The moisture that is generally available in the atmosphere has been driven away by the recent cyclone 'Bijli' from our state.
