Real lives...real options

Real lives.. real options a study exploring the livelihood options for trafficked survivors in rural and urban areas undertaken by Sanlaap supported by Terre des hommes was launched today at Oxford Book store, Park Street, Kolkata. The objective of the study was to assess the present situation of survivors restored by Sanlaap between year 2004 and 2006 in South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas and Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal. The study has tried to collate accurate information concerning possible livelihood options in rural West Bengal and analyse possible market opportunities for products produced by survivors. In the process the study also looks at various challenges and also various programmes by various NGOs and Government agencies. Copy of the study is available with Sanlaap office at Kolkata.
