Sat Duel Temple, Burdwan

Sat duel, Deulia Village Burdwan District, West Bengal. This temple is built in bricks in the style of orissan rekha – duel, the temple is pancharatha on plan and remarkable for the fine corbelled arch at the entrance. Equally interesting is the motif of interlacing Chaitya windows on the exterior walls stylistically temple may be dated to circa 10th century AD. One can see the top from kolkata highway and is a kilometer inside. It is located in beautiful well maintained lawns sprawling with flowers and off course with butterflies flying over the flowers.
