Photograph of Maa Durga idol in the Pandal of Puja being held at Balaram Bose Ghat Road, Bhowanipur, Kolkata. The Puja here is being organised by Bhowanipur Sanatan Dharmatsahni Sabha. This is the oldest community puja of Kolkata. It started in the year 1910 and are celebrating the 99 years of its existence. Though unlike other Puja's which are being supported by corporate sponsors, this is still being managed by individual contributions and ad revenue raised by printing souvenir. We hope we may get some sponsors and have being in touch with corporates, but our wait still continues, shares Kumar Chattterjee, Secretary of the Sabha with the blog member.
